TheImageIs is designed to minimize the image data we receive.

Image processing and saved projects

Image tools process your selected images inside your web browser, on your device, without uploading them to TheImageIs servers. Projects you choose to save and some preferences may remain in browser storage after you close or refresh the page. You can delete saved projects or clear the site's browser data to remove locally stored content.

Automatic background selection

Background-removal models and runtime files are downloaded from Hugging Face and public package CDNs when needed. These downloads do not include your photo. Model files may remain in browser storage after you close the page; clearing site data removes that cache. Selection edits and exported image pixels are processed locally.

Advertising and cookies

TheImageIs integrates Google AdSense. Google and other third-party advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Depending on your consent and settings, these technologies may be used to personalize advertising. Advertising services may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page you visit; this does not upload the images you edit with our tools.

The consent message, where shown, lists participating partners and their privacy information. You can also review participating companies and opt out of their personalized advertising through YourAdChoices.

Consent and your choices

We use Google's consent message for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. When the message is displayed, you can accept, decline or manage the available purposes and partners. To revisit or withdraw your consent, use the "Privacy and cookie settings" link provided with Google's message when available. You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Turning off personalized advertising does not necessarily remove all ads.

Technical logs

Web hosting providers may record standard request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time for security and reliability. We do not sell personal information.
